Welcome to Cope Town the AO3 Is Down Promptathon!
Where we can all huddle together, prompt silly things, write fills, and spread some fannish joy.

It’s a short downtime, so we will be doing drabbles and droubbles. That is, fic at exactly 100 or 200 words (titles are freebies). It’s a super fun exercise, and the length makes it much easier to dive in!

When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence.

Only one prompt per comment please. So, for example,

Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, "I don't like sand."

Open ended and anthropomorphic fills are popular too, such as:

Any, Any, "I don't like sand."

or

Earth geography, sand, "I don't like humans very much, either."

What else?
You answer other posters' prompts, fill as many prompts as you want, as many times as you wish. If you see that a prompt you loved has already been filled, go ahead and fill it again! Multiple fills of the same prompt are allowed and even encouraged! (We get really fun stories going this way).

Riverdale | AU | Jason Blossom chooses his life over his girlfriend Polly's

"Of course, I had no idea that my father was going to shoot Polly, Mrs. Cooper," Jason lied, affecting a gaze of innocence that he was sure Polly's mother, whose name he knew was certainly not Mrs. Cooper, disbelieved. "I don't know why Sheriff Jones thinks that I'm complicit."

It was Hal, Jason's stepfather, not that he'd viewed Polly as his step-anything when he'd been taking her into his bed, who spoke. "You murdered my daughter! If she hadn't slept with you, she wouldn't be dead."

"I had nothing to do with his actions. I don't care what Alice's Southside Sheriff of a husband claims. Even if I did, why does it matter? Polly was pregnant: my father told me to make a choice."

"Was the choice your life over my daughter's?"

"Of course, it was. Everyone already thinks Mom and Hal's relationship is incestuous and weird, and they're just cousins. What would people think if they'd shared a grandchild? Besides, Polly was acting irrational. Wanting to keep the baby? If only she'd listened to Hal and had that abortion."

Mrs-Formerly-Cooper let out a shriek. "Hal!"

"Don't yell at me, Alice. I wasn't planning on killing our daughter!"
