Welcome to Cope Town the AO3 Is Down Promptathon!
Where we can all huddle together, prompt silly things, write fills, and spread some fannish joy.

It’s a short downtime, so we will be doing drabbles and droubbles. That is, fic at exactly 100 or 200 words (titles are freebies). It’s a super fun exercise, and the length makes it much easier to dive in!

When posting a prompt please format it this way:

fandom, character(s), prompt word/sentence.

Only one prompt per comment please. So, for example,

Star Wars, Obi-Wan Kenobi, "I don't like sand."

Open ended and anthropomorphic fills are popular too, such as:

Any, Any, "I don't like sand."

or

Earth geography, sand, "I don't like humans very much, either."

What else?
You answer other posters' prompts, fill as many prompts as you want, as many times as you wish. If you see that a prompt you loved has already been filled, go ahead and fill it again! Multiple fills of the same prompt are allowed and even encouraged! (We get really fun stories going this way).

Star Trek: TNG right after The Best of Both Worlds

Captain Riker. Riker thought he would be captain some day, but not like this. Picard taken by the Borg and turned into their representative named Locutus & despite the crew's best efforts they were unable to rescue him before the destruction of the Borg Cube he was on.

He sits in the Enterprise-D's Ready Room, still decorated the way Captain Picard had it, half-listening to a report by his First Officer a newly promoted Commander Shelby. Not his choice either.

Sitting there, making automatic replies & comments, Riker can not shake the feeling that this is all wrong. That it was meant to turn out differently.
